All Hands Working Sessions and Annual Town Hall Review

Posted:

On May 27 and 28, the community was invited to participate in seven online 90-minute working sessions covering various topics related to cybersecurity and the Institute for Cybersecurity and Digital Trust. Each session was organized and facilitated by various faculty, staff and partners:

Ohio State Cyber Range, Ted Allen and Bob Pardee
Outreach, Engagement & Events, Julia Armstrong and Helen Patton
Mobility & Manufacturing, Vimal Buck and Qadeer Ahmed
Curricular Programs, Eylem Ekici
Industry Engagement, Mark BartmanDon Boian and Julia Armstrong
Human Dynamics and Misinformation Spread, Duane Wegener
Full Stack Security, ZQ Lin and Waleed Khalil

On June 3, the ICDT Annual Town Hall was held in a hybrid format: presenters attended in person and attendees chose either an in person or online participation. The sessions (above) each had a chance to report out on their main takeaways and goals for next year. Also joining the agenda were Dean Ayanna Howard from the College of Engineering and ICDT Co-Founder and Director, and Chair of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Hesham El Gamal.  Both gave remarks of strong support for cybersecurity education and workforce development, as well as the importance of interdisciplinary research and collaboration.

Technical issues prevented Rebekah Michael from presenting on the Ohio Cyber Range Institute, but her slides are included at the end of the slide deck.
