ICDT Sponsors Fourth Annual BuckeyeCTF
Ohio State held the fourth annual BuckeyeCTF on November 4th, sponsored by the OSU Institute for Cybersecurity and Digital Trust. BuckeyeCTF (Capture the Flag) is a hacking competition in which teams attempt to solve security-based problems to obtain "flags." The event consisted of 42 unique challenges in 5 different cybersecurity areas, with $2900 distributed in prizes.
The competition amassed the highest turnout rate this year than previous years, with 23 Ohio State division teams and 70 in-person attendees. In addition, there were also 353 University division teams and 174 open division teams.
BuckeyeCTF is an excellent opportunity for students to develop crucial cybersecurity skills and make connections within the vast cybersecurity community. We look forward to the return of BuckeyeCTF next year.
